Traditional cuisine with Wine

Everything in our hotel in Val Gardena is family-run. We’re a traditional hotel, so the landlady is also the chef. Careful preparation and fresh, local ingredients are important to her and she wants our guests to have a genuine taste of the South Tyrolean countryside on their plates – the aromatic herbs come from the garden, the meat comes from local preserves, fruit and vegetables come from nearby farms. The result is light, Mediterranean cuisine, which skilfully incorporates traditional South Tyrolean specialities. A special treat for all palates.

Another ‘treat’ is our new bar and restaurant space. Our dining hall and buffet area used to be quite small and rustic, yet, from December, sleek Alpine elegance will be the dominant feature. Warm colours, lots of wood from local forests and, above all, more room. In the renovated bar area, you’ll be able to shadow brewer and owner, Lukas Demetz – quite a special experience, just as special as our luxurious board experience.

In our own wine cellar, we store both top-quality South Tyrolean wines and selected drops from across the world.

Interski luxury board: the day begins with a diverse, healthy breakfast. We value organic products morning, noon and night. For dinner, we are delighted to present you with a lovingly prepared four-course menu with lots of different dishes to choose from. Once a week, we also offer an Italian starter buffet. The landlady, Marianne, will also be glad to prepare vegetarian and vegan meals, as well as gluten-free, lactose-free, or otherwise customized South Tyrolean delights to accommodate any food intolerances, dietary restrictions, and allergies upon request. Simply let us know before your arrival!

What would the most delicious gourmet menu be without the appropriate glass of wine? In South Tyrol – the land of wines – a glass of red or white with your dinner is a must! A classic Vernatsch, an aromatic Gewürztraminer or a powerful Lagrein – three of the most significant South Tyrolean wine varieties that are particularly popular among our guests. Our highly competent staff will gladly offer their expertise if you don’t know which wine is likely to go best with your meal.

We try to use regional products wherever possible and pay attention to fair and sustainable cultivation. We have agreements with farmers from St. Christina, which means that we are one of the few companies use mostly local meat and thus support the manufacturers.
