Water Worlds

At an altitude of 1,500m above sea level, from December 2016 there will be a new highlight in the water world at our spa hotel in Val Gardena: a super modern infinity pool. The open spaces which surround the pool’s interior are fully in tune with nature and our ‘pale mountains’ with their snow-covered peaks reaching high into the sky, however you look at them. The pool’s outdoor area slips naturally into our unique countryside landscape. Large windows provide incomparable views of the Dolomites, making you feel as if you can just reach out and touch them. Our interior designer, Daniele Bonato, has skilfully incorporated Alpine accents into the space by combining sun burnt larch wood from an old barn with glass and stone elements. A true spa refuge in the middle of the Alps. The open air whirlpool just finishes this natural image off nicely.

The pool has a distinctive L-shaped design: the indoor–outdoor transition area measures approximately 7 m × 5.5 m, extending in summer into a generous outdoor section of a further 15.5 m north–south and 7 m east–west at the same width. The water is kept at a comfortable 31.5 °C year-round, while the open-air whirlpool invites you to relax at a soothing 36.5 °C. The indoor pool is open daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. The outdoor pool is accessible in summer from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm and in winter from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
