The hotel’s own brewery
From December 2016, our Interski Hotel in Val Gardena will welcome a new ‘member’ to the family: our own brewery, which will be skilfully integrated into our new Alpine bar and restaurant area. We had been thinking about a name for it for quite some time and, finally, we decided to stay true to our roots and our local Ladin traditions. Eguia – the golden eagle – a powerful animal that swoops and dives over Val Gardena is the perfect inspiration for our family brewery. Of course this is what it should be called!
Manually brewed beer just tastes different… crafted in such a unique manner, all ingredients in our beer can be easily identified. We brew exclusively using natural mountain spring water from the Puez Odle nature reserve, which is part of the UNESCO world heritage site. The main ingredients we use are the finest malting barley, our own mountain hops and hydroelectric power which we generate ourselves. We avoid pasteurisation and filtration so as to retain as much of the original flavour as possible.
Other breweries want their beer to taste the same each time. I, on the other hand, like it if the beer sometimes tastes a little bit different – so many factors, such as the diverse local ingredients or the different raw materials available each season, could have influenced it. Of course, experimentation also plays an important part.
— Lukas Demetz, owner of the Interski Hotel in Val Gardena
Creativity is very important to us, as a skilfully crafted beer is a truly special experience. We wish to share this with as many guests as possible, so you can look forward to brewing days with your host and amateur brewer Lukas Demetz, during which you’ll be treated to brewing tours and beer tasting sessions. This way, you can experience the creation of our special beers first hand. Up to six different kinds of beer await our guests, including a light lager, a wheat beer, a pale ale and at least one seasonal brew. Cheers!
Our Craft Beers
Brewed with passion in our family microbrewery in Val Gardena. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, using pure mountain spring water from the Dolomites.

Selin Linëusa
Traditional Bavarian-style wheat beer, pleasantly fruity and spicy with notes of clove and banana, featuring a gentler carbonation than most commercial beers.

Linëusa
Classic light lager, brewed with German aroma hops. Pleasantly earthy and grassy on the nose and palate, with a nice, clean finish and a subtle, brief bitterness.

Red Dolomiti Glow
A modern interpretation of a Red Ale. The use of dark malts combined with generous dry-hopping using American and New Zealand hops creates a balanced aroma of exotic fruits, beautifully balanced by a complex malty body.

Foscia
Pitch-black stout with complex roasted aromas and a rich, creamy mouthfeel. For those who want their beer to be unapologetically bold.

Lupulina
Naturally hazy pale ale with intense fruit aromas. Extremely generous dry-hopping after fermentation results in a beer with low bitterness and complex aromas of apricot, tropical fruits, and pine needles.

Golden Dolomiti Lager
Classic Vienna-style lager, bittered with hops grown right on-site. A pleasantly malt-forward beer with a balanced bitterness that rounds off harmoniously on the palate. Excellent with meals and for anyone who loves a full-bodied flavor.

Leuf Imperial IPA
A powerful Imperial IPA with a robust hop aroma and a distinct bitterness that remains perfectly balanced. The palate unfolds a complex interplay of malty sweetness and tropical hop notes, leading into a long-lasting finish. Perfect for enthusiasts seeking a bold taste experience.

Lesiera
Our interpretation of a light summer beer, styled as a Session Ale, with a subtly fruity hop aroma. Highly drinkable and a perfect refresher after a long hike in the Dolomites.

Sajons
A pale, top-fermented ale in the style of Belgian Saisons. Dry with a fine bitterness, contrasted by the spicy and rustic notes of Belgian yeast, making it a highly refreshing and easy-drinking beer.

Scura
Dark lager inspired by the traditional beers of Franconia. Extremely drinkable with a pleasant, subtle maltiness. The elegant roasted flavor makes it an interesting alternative to a standard light lager.

Sfumiëda
Our interpretation of a smoke beer, typically found in the Bamberg region. Crystal clear with a touch of residual sweetness, it pairs wonderfully with hearty and savory dishes like South Tyrolean Speck or grey cheese.

Barley Wine
A strong ale in the style of Belgian Trappist beers. A highly complex malt structure is complemented by gentle hopping, while our proprietary Belgian yeast strain adds pleasant fruity-esters and spicy notes. A beer for cold winter nights, perfect alongside mature cheeses and hearty dishes.
Blancia
A modern interpretation of the classic Belgian Witbier. This wheat beer is brewed in the traditional Belgian style with the addition of orange peel and coriander, giving it a uniquely refreshing and aromatic flavor.
Segra
A malt-forward festival beer brewed with a slightly higher strength. The hop blend combines traditional German noble hops with American varieties to produce a spicy yet fruity character.

Grape Ale
A pale, top-fermented beer aged with local Kerner grape must during secondary fermentation, creating a unique finish reminiscent of white wine.

Weizenbock (dunkel)
A strong, dark Weizenbock with a solid bitterness and a complex aromatic profile. An excellent food companion, especially during the cooler seasons.

Dolomites Brut IPA
A bone-dry American-style IPA with a lively effervescence. Intense hop fruitiness is highlighted by a specialty yeast strain. Perfect as an aperitif or paired with food.
