Between September and March, the local cable cars – which are just a stone’s throw away from the Interski Hotel – will take you to the area’s most loved ski pistes. The Val Gardena ski area is world renowned for the Saslong FIS downhill run. Professional skiers sprint down this run each year in the hope of capturing the world championship.
Culturally, Santa Cristina Val Gardena also has a lot to offer… Castel Gardena, the beautiful pilgrimage church or the gigantic, spherical equatorial sundial (2m in diameter), the latter of which can be found on Monte Pana.
