Val Gardena and the world of the Dolomites. This is surely one of the world’s most beautiful competitive climbing areas. The opportunities for climbing enthusiasts are limitless. Difficult, high Alpine climbing tours and trips to the much easier climbing gardens. Overhanging and flat routes, with the Sassolungo, the Torri del Sella, the Odle and the Sella in the background. This could not be a more spectacular location to climb! Granted, scaling these simultaneously beautiful and bizarre cliff formations does take bravery! But the result is worth it… attractive views of the mountains and an immense feeling of happiness speak for themselves.
Of course, our Interski Hotel also has a great deal of tips ready for you. For example, we are delighted to recommend the “Frea” climbing garden at Passo Gardena or the “Steinerne Stadt” (stone city) at Passo Sella at the foot of the Sassolungo. The latter has countless boulders which create numerous different routes… ideal for your climbing holiday with your children.
Within the framework of the Val Gardena Activity Programme, we also offer climbing taster sessions – in June, September and October, they take place every Wednesday at 4pm. The sessions in July and August take place every Tuesday at 5pm. Otherwise, we would be delighted to help you plan your own, individual climbing tour and will even book an experienced mountain guide from Val Gardena to accompany you. Of course, a free mountaineer’s breakfast is part of the package so you can start your day on the rock face full of energy!
