Winter activities
Val Gardena is the best ski destination! Every year here the World Cup race is held on the famous Saslong, right in front of the hotel! You meet skiers and snow lovers all together.
With the connection to Dolomiti Superski, the largest ski area in the world and the nearby Alpe di Siusi, your holiday will become a paradise for skiing and winter lovers.
The World Cup attracts everything and everyone with its electric atmosphere. Monte Pana, Seceda, Col Raiser ... these are the names of some well-known winter destinations which are reachable from Santa Cristina. Not only skiers find here what they need: even for cross-country skiers, snowshoeing and skating here there are countless opportunities for entertainment and fun.
Connection to the slopes
A ski bus stops at the front of the hotel to take our guests to the Col-Raiser funicular railway (about 300 metres above). From here there is direct access to Secada or, via an underground cable railway, to Saslong valley station (which can also be reached by a 5-minute walk from the hotel) and on to Sella Ronda. The return could not be easier – there is a piste within 50 metres of the hotel, and the distance can be managed with skis fastened.
In addition we offer a shuttle bus service directly from the hotel to the Saslong (during certain hours in the morning, that will be adapted te eventual needs).
Ski school and ski lift are only 50 metres from the hotel, and the instructors visit us several times a week with suggestions and useful tips for skiers.
