The world’s greatest ski carousel

Phenomenal. Outstanding. These are some of the words used by our guests recalling their skiing holiday. The Dolomites boast around 1200 kilometres of ski slopes, practically all interlinked with pistes and lifts, all with a spectacular mountain backdrop. Safety is paramount: in the past few years the season started on time at the beginning of December and continued non-stop until mid-April. Not really surprising, given that the pistes are looked after on a daily basis.

A ski bus stops at the front of the hotel to take our guests to the Col-Raiser funicular railway (about 300 metres above). From here there is direct access to Secada or, via an underground cable railway, to Saslong valley station (which can also be reached by a 5-minute walk from the hotel) and on to Sella Ronda. The return could not be easier – there is a piste within 50 metres of the hotel, and the distance can be managed with skis fastened.

Ski school and ski lift are only 50 metres from the hotel, and the instructors visit us several times a week with suggestions and useful tips for skiers.
